Bio
Vasco Monteiro (Oeiras, Portugal, 1982). Holds a graduation in screenwriting (ESTC - 2005) and a master's degree with merit in documentary film (ESMAD- 2023). He works frequently as a screenwriter with film producers such as Ukbar, Olhar de Ulises, SP Televisão, Santa Rita or Madame Filmes. More recently, he entered the documentary filmmaking realm. As part of his masters thesis, he directed the multiple awarded short experimental documentary “The Closing of a Refinery (2023)”. He’s currently working on the post-production of his first feature-length documentary, “The Fleeting Stones of Borralha”. In addition, he's also a film editor and a tutor, participating in that role on the collective films “Futura Paragem (2022)” and “Bussolar (2024)”. He currently serves as vice president of APAD (Portuguese Association of Screenwriters and Playwrights).
