Balazar was home to Alexandrina Maria da Costa, who is said received mystical visions and messages from God. It’s because of her that so many pilgrims arrive here. They seek to be closer to the spiritual world that she touched and that lays beyond words, reached only by faith. What each one finds in Balazar, only himself can contemplate.

This documentary is an attempt to summon the unreachable world of faith. For those who feel drawn to the mystical figure of Alexandrina, she becomes the vehicle through which their hopes and dreams are expressed. Through her they feel they can access a power that transcends them and serves as a guide to their lifes. In this documentary we try to access this inner world without judgment, opening a window to one’s inner beliefs.
